RICE NINE TEN is a Japanese menswear brand by Shohei Kimura, rooted in the philosophy of “Kabukimono”—a spirit of bold, expressive style. The brand name combines “RICE (米) + NINE (九) + TEN (十)” to form “iki (粋),” representing refined individuality with "intuition and subjectivity first", the brand offers unique clothing that combines tradition and innovation. The brand proposes a style with a sense of identity and humour that does not flirt with time. It is a brand that carries a unique atmosphere with a vintage taste and a modern interpretation. In particular, witty knitwear has become the brand's signature.
The second collaboration revisits the long-sleeve soccer jersey through knitwear. The body is knit in a vertical taupe and off-white stripe, opened at the neck with a navy knit polo collar and finished with navy ribbed cuffs, both tipped in off-white and taupe. A hand-embroidered 888 emblem sits at the left chest, the JJJJound serif logo at the right chest, and Living the Dream in script at the left sleeve. Made using a thread blend of polyester, wool, nylon, and acrylic, the polo is finished with ribbed trims and a bespoke RICE NINE TEN label in JJJJound's signature palette. Heritage-inspired color blocking and familiar team detailing shift the silhouette away from performance wear and into something intended for everyday use.
The collaboration launches Thursday, August 27th at 9 AM on JJJJound.com.
