JJJJound presents a unique lighting design in collaboration with Korean artist Gyuhan Lee. Rooted in traditional craftsmanship and contemporary minimalism, this project transforms everyday materials into refined design objects, seamlessly merging artistry and functionality.

Known for reinterpreting branded paper materials, Lee utilizes JJJJound’s paper packaging bags and branded box tape as the primary materials for this project. By layering the packaging with traditional Korean hanji paper, he creates a lighting piece that is both delicate and structurally refined. The result is a work that harmonizes the precision of mass production with the intricate details of hand craftsmanship.

Inspired by the grid proportions commonly found in minimalist architecture, the structural composition of the lamp reflects a balance between simplicity and sophistication.

This collaboration explores the intersection of branding, consumer culture, and traditional craftsmanship, expanding the role of packaging materials beyond their conventional function. By integrating JJJJound’s minimalist design philosophy with Lee’s artisanal techniques, the project redefines the boundaries between product design and contemporary art.

The new collaboration is set to launch via JJJJound.com on Thursday June 5 at 8 AM EST.
